The treatment and care that I received from Dr. Alsikafi, and from his medical team and staff was exceptional. Everyone took the time to listen to my concerns and answer my questions very thoroughly. Within a few weeks after surgery, my life had returned to normal. What a relief! Dr. Alsikafi deserves the highest commendation for the difference his expertise has made in my life. I highly recommend Dr. Alsikafi to any person with a urologic condition. A hundred years ago, people died from the condition that I had. I am sure that Dr. Alsikafi will continue to save many more lives and greatly improve the quality of life for many more people for many years to come.
Robert Chittenden We are extremely grateful that Dr. Alsikafi was able to restore our teenage son’s ability to function after a skateboarding accident resulted in a severed urethra. In the weeks after the accident and prior to meeting Dr. Alsikafi, Eric spent 14 days in the hospital, had 2 urological surgeries, needed 5 blood transfusions, made several trips to the ER, experienced blocked catheters, endured catheter changes each month for 4 months, and was treated for several urinary infections. After the surgeries healed, Eric was able to function somewhat normally, although very painfully, for about a week and then quickly developed so much scar tissue that he was unable to function at all. During that time, Eric was in constant pain and discomfort. At that point, the urology team that had cared for Eric since the night of the accident sent us to see Dr. Alsikafi. That was a blessing! At the first visit, Dr. Alsikafi was confident that he could correct the problem and explained the procedure thoroughly. He scheduled the surgery for a point in time when the scar tissue would stop developing. He performed the reconstruction. Eric was in the hospital overnight and went home the next day. One week later the catheter was removed and Eric is pain free and able to function 100% normally again! In addition to the physical effects Eric had suffered through, the whole family including his younger sister and brother felt the emotional and mental stress throughout this 4 ½ month ordeal -- and now feel tremendous relief – thanks to Dr. Alsikafi.
